Did you know that you can run a full version of Windows off of a Flash drive?
Well, You can run Windows off of a flash drive! It int a very common thing to do because of the incompatibility, limited space available and speed. You can make Windows server 2008 and 2012 and Windows 7,8,and 8.1 portable. You also can install WinPE 2/3/4/5. You just use the tool Wintousb. I have personally installed Windows 8.1 and Windows vista on flash drives. Vista isn't included in the versions it supports but it worked for me. Just follow the steps below to make a portable Windows Flash drive.
Step One: Prepare a USB flash drive. One at least 16gb should be fine. Don't use anything less than 8 for this. Format the drive as NTFS.
Step Two: Download Wintousb from their website. or from our servers
Step Three: Download a Windows iso file. Just do a quick Google search for one. or download them from our servers. They are large files so you may want to download them ahead of time.
Step Four: Run Wintousb and click on the folder with a magnifying glass over it. Select your iso file.
Step Five: Select what version of Windows you want. (Options Vary depending on operating system)
Step Six: Click next and select what flash drive portion you want to install it on. Make sure you select the same one on both the of the two options.
Step Seven: Click Next and wait may take a while to finish. At least 15 min.
Step Eight: Reboot computer off of flash drive once done loading. See our section on how to boot off of a flashdrive.
Step Nine: Set up windows. It will be slower than usual because of the fact that usb is slow. When setting up you may need to activate Windows to continue installations if so just Google around for it you will more than likely find a code that works.
Step Ten: Now that you activated and set up Windows you are going to need to register it with a product key. You can either purchase a key or use a hack around it. Just google for a way to purchase a key or see here for how to crack it.
